Functional Movement Screen (FMS)

A functional movement screen involves assessing the quality of seven functional body movements, identifying potential problems or problematic movement patterns, and developing an exercise program to ensure you are able to move at your best.

NBSM has two FMS Practitioners that are excited to help you move your best:

Vickie Grierson is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach. For FMS she is certified for the Functional Movement Screen (FMS)  Levels 1 & 2, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Capacity Screen (FCS), and Y-Balance Test (YBT). Vickie typically incorporates a review of your physical mobility, injuries, and health into her approach to FMS and the initial assessment is typically one hour with follow-ups usually being about 30 minutes if necessary to review corrective movements and exercises.

Danalie Meyer is a Registered Kinesiologist. For FMS she is certified FMS1, FCS, and YBT. Danalie’s FMS takes about 30 minutes with follow-ups taking about 30 minutes to review corrective movements and exercises.
