Dr. Bryan Lemenchick MD, CCFP(SEM), Dip Sport Med
Sport Medicine Physician (English)
Dr. Lemenchick graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa in 2011 before completing his training in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2013. He went on to completed enhanced skills training in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Western University in London, ON in 2014. Prior to moving to North Bay, he worked at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic at Western University.
He has been a team physician for varsity teams at Western University and with the Canadian Soccer Association. He has provided medical coverage at events such as the CHL Memorial Cup, NHL Rookie Tournaments in London, ON, and the Parapan Am Games in Toronto, ON.
Dr. Taylor Lougheed MD, MSc(HQ), CCFP(EM)(SEM), Dip Sport Med
Sport Medicine Physician (English/Français)
Dr. Lougheed graduated from medical school at Queen’s University in 2012 before completing his training in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2014. He went on to complete enhanced skills training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2015, and subsequently also achieved certification in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2017. Prior to moving to North Bay he lived in Ottawa for several years where he had the good fortune to work and locum in a variety of hospitals and communities including The Ottawa Hospital, CHEO, Queensway Carlton, as well as at NBRHC. Dr. Lougheed is also a recognized expert in medical cannabinoids, and previously very active with family medicine locum coverage.
He has helped provide event coverage for various sporting events, including the Canadian Track & Field Championships, Skate Canada National Championships, Red Bull Crashed Ice Championships, and Invictus Games.
When not working, Dr. Lougheed can be seen running after his three young boys!
Dr. Paul Gauthier PT, MSc, MD, FRCSC
Orthopaedic Surgery (English/Français)
After gaining experience as a physiotherapist in the nation’s capital, Dr. Paul Gauthier pursued further education, earning a master’s degree in biomechanics from the University of Ottawa. He then went on to complete medical school and his orthopedic surgery residency in Ottawa as well. Following his residency, Dr. Gauthier undertook two fellowships: his first in arthroplasty and his second in foot and ankle surgery, solidifying his expertise in these specialized areas.
Dr. Gauthier is thrilled to begin his practice in North Bay, a vibrant bilingual community that offers the perfect backdrop for him to enjoy the great outdoors with his family.
Vickie Grierson, BScPT, CSCS
Registered Physiotherapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Certified Functional Movement Screener (English)
Vickie graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1994 and has been working with sport and fitness athletes for 29 years as a registered physiotherapist. She is a National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA CSCS), a certified Functional Movement Screen Level 2 practitioner, a certified Pilates instructor, and has earned her certificate as a Health & Wellness Lifestyle Coach through York University. As an HTCP Level 2 Trainer, she was the trainer for several Clarington Girls Hockey & Clarington Minor Lacrosse teams, & designed training/injury reduction programs for Team Ontario Lacrosse.
Vickie strongly believes in the power of movement as medicine. She bases her treatments on optimizing her client’s ability to move in a way that is healthy and efficient, creating the foundation to improve fitness, acquire the attributes important to sport performance and reduce risk of injury. Vickie has developed an extensive toolbox of hands-on skills to help her clients achieve their goals, including functional dry needling, soft tissue release, manual therapy and kinesiotaping.
Vickie is faculty in the schools of Health Science and Sport and Recreation at Canadore College and Physical Education at Nipissing University. She practices what she preaches, keeping strong and fit with weight training, mountain biking, kayaking and hiking.

Doug Linklater HBPE, BEd, BScPT, Sport Med
Registered Physiotherapist (English)
Doug attended the University of Western Ontario, where he completed his degrees in Physical Education (1992), Bachelor of Education (1993), and Physiotherapy (2003). He acquired his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic (2004).
His passion for physiotherapy stems from his time at the University of Western playing varsity football, alpine ski racing, and lacrosse, where he won the Vanier Cup and several OUAA provincial championships. He has 20 years of experience focusing on sport injuries and orthopedic physiotherapy.
Doug worked as the primary physiotherapist for the men’s Canadian Alpine Ski Team for many years, while attending 2 x Winter Olympics (Turin, Italy 2006 and Sochi, Russia 2014), 2 x World Championships.
Doug has more than 30 years of coaching experience, which gives him a platform to help athletes at both high performance and recreational levels in our community.
He continues to play tennis, mountain bike, kayak and coach ski racing on our local hill, as well as chasing his two young daughters around the hockey rink and down the ski hills.
Virali Sangani
Registered Physiotherapy Resident (English/Gujarati- ગુજરાતી)
Virali is an internationally trained Resident Physiotherapist with a passion for helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their physical health. Her primary focus lies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, where she enjoys addressing joint, muscle and movement related concerns.
Virali completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the Uka Tarsadia University in Bardoli, India in 2018, where she gained valuable experience in managing musculoskeletal and pediatric conditions. Her approach integrates patient education, soft tissue release, manual therapy, and individualized treatment plans to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.
She firmly believes in the power of hands-on therapy combined with targeted exercise programs and is looking to add Manual Therapy and Dry Needling to her practice to provide even more specialized care in the future.
Danalie Meyer R.Kin
Registered Kinesiologist, Certified Functional Movement Screener (English)
Danalie graduated from Graceland University in Iowa and has been a working as a Kinesiologist for over 10 years. She is a certified expert in custom brace fitting, and has a passion for supporting client with a “movement is medicine” philosophy. She was born and raised in North Bay where she was active in numerous competitive sports and currently supports her two athletic young boys with their many sporting endeavours.

Niko Gregorin, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Registered Occupational Therapist (English/Slovenščina/hrvatski)
Niko is a graduate of Ljubljana University in Slovenia in Europe and has been practising as an Occupational Therapy for over 20 years in different parts of the world and Canada. He has taken postgraduate courses in neuro rehabilitation, upper extremity rehabilitation, lymphedema management, arthritis management, wheelchair prescription, home modification and many others to increase skills and knowledge. He has special interest in neuro and hand rehabilitation.

Katherine Ouimette
Medical Office Administrator (English/Français)
Katherine was born and raised in Mattawa and moved to North Bay when she started high school. She graduated from the Mental Health and Addiction program at Canadore College in 2014, and had her daughter shortly after. She began her career in health care in 2021 and has since been able to obtain a position as a Medical Office Administrator. Katherine has administrative experience in a sport medicine clinic, as well as extensive knowledge in third party billing, scheduling and the importance of patient relations. She prides herself on her professionalism and is always looking to offer a helping hand. Although still fairly new to the health care field, her ambition and personality make her a great asset to the North Bay Sport Medicine team!
