Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy promotes physical wellness and function by helping to diagnose and treat physical conditions or injuries that limit body movement. This includes a thorough assessment and development of a treatment plan that can include education, activity modification, various stretches and exercises, soft tissue release, manual therapy, and supplementary treatments including ultrasound, dry needling, and kinesiotaping.

Physiotherapists commonly assess and treat various injuries and musculoskeletal conditions including:

  • Acute musculoskeletal injuries
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Concussions
  • Repetitive strain disorders
  • Post-fracture or surgery rehabilitation

They can also be integral in supporting training plans and can prevent or reduce the risk of injuries.

Vickie Grierson and Doug Linklater are certified by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and have extensive experience working with the full range of orthopaedic and sport medicine patients, including those just getting started through to those competing at the elite level.
